Hiking
There are few roads in the area but the Chilcotin has long had a history with hiking enthusiasts who follow old pack horse trails, ancient native pathways, game and hunting trails. Some even make their own. Tweedsmuir Park is famous throughout BC for its rugged backcountry and Parks does have maps of trails on their website, but gorgeous country for hiking stretches right from the Chilko Lake area to the Bella Coola Valley.
