About Us


Cecil & Marjorie Duncan built the original lodge in 1953 and owned the resort until 1968. During that time, they added cabins one to eight.
Lyle and Barb Martin took over in June of 1969, added the addition to the lodge and built cabin 10. They sold the resort to Roger and Gloria Folsom in 1977.
Roger and Gloria ran the resort for 19 years until retiring in 1998 after building cabin eleven.

A partnership between Warren and Bernice Bean, Pete and Joanie Lafferty and Bryan and Tabby Reid resulted in the new Wilderness Rim from 1999 until now. They had a new lodge built by Pioneer Log Homes as well as three new cabins.The lodge is the private home of Bryan and Tabby Reid, but also features a modern and spacious kitchen area for guests to use as well as showers and laundry facilities in the lodge.
